DeSoto Rained Out; April 5 Next Race

Twenty-seven cars made the trip to DeSoto Super Speedway for the winged sprint car races on Saturday night March 22. Rain, however, was the victor and put a stop to all activities. Not an engine was fired the entire evening.
The TBARA winged sprints return to DeSoto Saturday April 5, just two short weeks away for the annual Dick Friedley Memorial Race.
Dick Friedley was the long time TBARA statistician and official photographer. Dick was well liked by all and was quite an entertainer at the TBARA awards banquet each year with his skit. With no races scheduled in the interim, Lenny Puglio anticipates a field of 30 plus cars to enter the Memorial which will be a 50 lap feature in lieu of the usual 30 and will have a larger than normal purse.
Jobsite Concrete has also stepped up to sponsor a special added race featuring the top 6 cars in TBARA points that are in attendance for a 6 lap “Dash for Cash”.
